My Secret Circle for Tweens + {{GIVEAWAY}}

If you heard the phrase "secure social networking for girls", would your curiosity be peaked? Mine was. I personally LOVE Facebook. Twitter is kind of cool too. Myspace was very appealing to me when it first came out even though it's lost it's flavor quite a bit (for me). But, I'm an adult. I'm not sure I'd want my tween girls on there though.

Did you know that 25% of 8-15 year olds have strangers as friends on their social networking page and 20% of those admit to meeting a stranger they encountered online?! Just this week alone I received 2 random friend requests on Facebook. Umm, no thanks! Way too many crazies out there.

To address the huge online safety concern facing our youth, gaming and entertainment leader,
Senario, has created the first-ever secure socially networking world specifically for girls ages 8-12. My Secret Circle is a new plug-‘n-play product that allows girlfriends to hang out online, chat, share pictures and play games—all with mom’s approval.

By purchasing online access keys (USB keys) featuring proprietary technology with embedded browsers and unique ID codes, only friends can connect on My Secret Circle by exchanging private codes. Best of all, it’s invisible to the online world, so the child is not exposed to ads and strangers that are present on most major social networking sites.

Basically how it works is you buy the program, which comes in the form of a flash drive, and each person has their own secret "code" for the My Secret Circle. After generating your code, you print the code out on a small piece of paper and place it in a tiny capsule called a "charm". Then, you exchange the charm with another My Secret Circle user in person. And that's where it differs from "big kid" social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook. In order to share your MSC profile with another MSC user, you have to exchange charms in person, which is supposed to eliminate the predatory aspect that sometimes comes with social networking sites.

It has all the fun features of other social networking sites like sharing pics, notes, interests, etc. You can even buy a headset that allows you to talk to your friends, voice-over-internet-style, just like Skype!

Other key features of My Secret Circle include All-About-Me profile pages with a Diva Designer avatar tool, an online journal that can be kept private or public for friends to read, instant messaging, games and an extensive photo feature in which girls can upload photos, add text and décor and even create slideshows.

My Secret Circle access keys can be purchased individually($19,.99) or in a B.F.F. (best friend forever) Pack ($29.99), which includes two online access keys, to shared among friends or siblings. What a perfect birthday gift idea!

One lucky reader is going to receive an idividual My Secret Circle Pack. To ENTER please follow these simple instructions:

  • US & Canadian Residents Only

  • Contest will run from Monday, July 6 through Sunday, July 12. Winner will be chosen via random.org and will be posted on Monday, July 13.

Poo-Pourri Jr. Review + GIVEAWAY

As parents we love our little ones and we love they way they smell..............well, most of the time. We love the smell of their baby powder, their baby lotion and their laundry detergent but we don't love their stinky diapers. Oh, no sir! Many times I'd look at my girls and think how could this horrific stink come from this adorable little girl?

I have to admit when my first daughter, Emilee, was born I changed her every time at her changing table and used the Diaper Genie religiously. But when Grace came along and I found myself plopping her down wherever I could to change those less than fragrant diapers and running outside to toss her poopie diaper into the trash. Not very convenient when it's cold or raining or the middle of the night.

I recently had the opportunity to try out this ingenious little item called Poo-Pourri Jr, the dirty diaper deodorizer. Here's a little bit about the product: Poo-Pourri Jr. is a diaper spray made of all-natural anti-bacterial essential oils such as bergamot, lemongrass and grapefruit.

Poo-Pourri Jr., from the makers of the popular Poo-Pourri adult spray, eliminates the source of odor causing bacteria and uses a secret formula that safely and effectively traps and diffuses odors in cloth and plastic diapers, leaving your home fresh and clean.

Simply spray Poo-Pourri Jr. on dirty diapers before disposal and there will be no reminder that your little angel was once a stinker. This convenient spray is also perfect to take with you on the go in your diaper bag – the formula contains a revolutionary odor counteractant to neutralize odors at the source and refresh air. The all-natural essential oils in Poo-Pourri Jr. trap odors and won’t leave any behind.

Poo-Pourri Jr. is available in a 4 oz. bottle for $12.96 and an 8 oz. bottle for $19.95. It is available for purchase at
www.poopourri.com as well as through retailers nationwide.

This product really does work. I've used is several times and the only thing you smell is the spray. I even went back later on in the day, gave my garbage a sniff and no sign AT ALL that there was a stinky diaper in the pail.

2 lucky readers have the opportunity to win this product. To enter please follow these instructions:

  • US & Canadian Residents Only

  • Visit www.poopourri.com and tell me which product you like the best

  • Earn extra entries by following, blogging about this giveaway, subscribing or following us on Twitter.

  • Contest ends June 30 and winner will be chosen via random.org and posted on July 1.

  • Please be sure to leave a valid email email address so we can contact you if you win.

The PERFECT Jeans

Being the professional dieter that I am, er uh was, my weight has yo yo'd for the last 15 years and along with that comes clothes. Lots and lots of clothes. I have skinny clothes, fat clothes and beyond. I could probably open up a little Thrift Store with all of the clothes I've accumulated over years. Since losing weight this time around (and by faith for the very LAST time) I have been ditching clothes left and right. No more of this "oh, maybe I'll save them 'just in case'." Oh, no. "Just in case" has been put to rest; put out to pasture; sent to the bottom of the sea with an anchor tied to it. You get what I mean. :)

I am happy to report that I am little by little getting into my skinny clothes. Yay!! Thankfully most of them are classic styles and I've gotten away with having to do very little shopping. One little predicament that I've run into though is that my body has changed. After 2 children, things just are not in the same place anymore. While I'm thankful for fitting into my old clothes, they just don't fit like they used to. Well, that's where Jag Jeans come into the picture.

I received a pair of Jag Jeans to review and let me just tell you, I rarely find jeans that just fit right without trying them on. These did. I put them on, and poof, they fit perfect. And, so comfortable too. The waist is nice and comfy - not at all confining. They have quickly become my favorite pair of jeans. The bad news is(or the good news depending on how you look at it) I'm not done losing weight so eventually these jeans won't fit anymore. The good news, I'd love to make these the new "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" pants so when I'm done, they are up for grabs! They are size 14, boot cut. Who wants? I'm dead serious. :)

Here's a little bit about the company:

JAG caters to women of all ages and shapes and retail for under $100.
For more than 30 years, Jag's sexy and easy to wear denim has walked the walk and gone the distance. In the 1970's, JAG introduced contemporary sportswear designs and re-invented denim, which became an integral part of the brand. Today, JAG Jeans are about great fit, and just the right amount of fashion. With over three decades of experience, JAG designers are experts in fit and fabic. They consider every woman, every size, every shape so that when a woman buys a pair of Jag Jeans, we know they will fit, flatter, and make her feel good. Our fabrics have just the right amount of stretch to perfect the fit, and add the comfort. Even the waistband has some stretch, making Jag Jeans unique.

So, go over to Nordstrom and check them out. Making a purchase will be an investment. I promise you that. :)

Toodle Bugz Giveaway

This week's featured company is Toodle Bugz. Here's a little bit about them: Myra Meche and Emily Viator are a mother and daughter team that is the successful driving force behind ToodleBugz. When Emily’s oldest daughter asked for leggings that were taller in fit, for growing children, Emily and Myra put their brains and talent together to design a multi sized legging that works for arms and legs. In addition, Emily and Myra brought fun children friendly graphics to the design process to fit a wide range of ages. The inspiration for ToodleBugz all started with two little girls.

Remember Leg Warmers? If you grew up in the 80's you know exactly what I'm talking about. :) As with a lot of things, clothing and accessories seem to go in and out of style over the years. Well, my friends, Leg Warmers are back and they're better than ever. I rediscovered them last year sometime when Gracie was under a year old. I immediately fell in love with them all over again. While the brand that I came across were great for infants, I found that the ones I bought for Emilee, who is almost 5 and bigger than most kids her age, were just a bit small. They fit but not the same way they fit on Gracie.

Then, I was introduced to Toodle Bugz: Leg warmers that come in various prints AND SIZES! They come in infant, toddler and youth. I received a few pairs for review (and giveaway) and oh. my. word! They have got to be some of the softest things I've ever touched. I just wanted to snuggle with them the way I'd snuggle with a comfy blanket!

So, today I'm happy to announce that I have 4, yes 4 pairs to give away! I have 2 pairs of youth (softest yellow with giraffe on botton and solid white), one pair of toddler (rainbow) and one pair of infant (bumble bee).

Rules:

  • To enter you must be a resident of the US only.
  • Giveaway will run from Tuesday, September 16 through Monday, September 22. Winners will be chosen at random on Tuesday, September 23.
  • Please visit Toodle Bugz and then come back here and leave a comment stating what you liked best about the website/products and what size you would like if you win.
  • You do not need to have a blog to enter but you DO need to leave an email address so that I can contact you if you win.

Have fun and enjoy the contest!

Zeebabee Burp See Burp Cloths Giveaway

Today's featured company is Zeebabee. I met Suzie, the owner and fabulous mind behind the Zeebabee line via Mommy Millionaire. As a momprenuer myself, I'm always ready, willing and able to show my support to moms who are trying to make their dreams come true. And Suzie is one of them.

A little bit about the company: It all started almost four years ago when I had my first born son in my arms, holding him, loving him, burping him, and just hanging out with him day in and day out. And he was only about two months old at the time, when I said to myself, “it sure would be nice if he had something to look at, considering he spends most of his time on my shoulder when I’m holding, snuggling, or just burping him.” I talked to my friends and family about the idea for years…and years. But it wasn’t until after the birth of my second son that I thought about it again, as I was holding him one night. So at that moment, I starting envisioning designs in my head and then I transferred it over to paper. It was a long process, but here we are. My idea, my dream, my vision has come to life!

Zeebabee carries a line of unique burp clothes called Burp See Burp Cloths and T-shirts called Baby See T-shirts. Each item is made with black and white patterns which research has shown that babies at birth can easily see black and white images the best, due to the high contrast edges. It also proves high contrast graphics improve your baby's early recognition.

One lucky reader is going to receive a set of the Burp See Burp Cloths in the pattern of their choice. Here are the contest rules:
  • Visit Zeebabee and take a look around. Leave a comment here telling me what you liked best about the site and the products.
  • US Residents Only Please.
  • Contest will run from Sunday, August 3rd through Friday, August 8th. A winner will be chosen at random (Random.org) and will be posted on Saturday, August 9th.
  • To earn an extra entry, subscribe to this blog or my other blogs (Emilee Grace Company or Emilee Grace Blog Designs)
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: You MUST leave your email address on your post. In some recent posts I probably had more people who did not leave their contact info than did and I wound up having to pick a new winner about 10x.

Thanks so much for entering and for stopping by. Enjoy!

Snaps Couture Giveaway

When I was pregnant with my oldest I remember getting a ton of onesies at my shower. At that time, I was not at all a fan of onesies. The thought of letting my little girl hang out in a onesie all day bothered me. With all of the adorable girly clothes out there, I'd rather she be dressed to the 9's then hang out in a t-shirt all day. If any of you are parents, I'm sure you know that that plan went out the window real fast. Between the spit up and the leaky diapers, I found myself going through an awful lot of clothes and onesies worked best.

Now, when my second was born, she lived in onesies her first couple of months because she was summer baby. I remember getting such adorable little onesies from my best friend and realized I had a newfound appreciation for those little bodysuits. They were cute and so convenient.

One thing I love about baby products is how much they change over time. I've been a mom for a little over 4 years now and I'm amazed at the wonderful and unique products that I have come across in such a short period of time. Snaps Couture is one of those products. I mean, anything with the word couture in it just sounds exciting, right?

Snaps Couture is fashionable little place on the web that sells "onesies with attitude". They are not your typical, frilly, run-of-the-mill onesie. They are hip and happening and the will definitely make your child stand out. No one wants their precious little one to be just like every other kid in the playgroup. Well, with Snaps Couture, your child definitely won't be ordinary and you can be sure that they will still be dressed to the 9's. Ranging in sizes 3 months to 24 months and in both short and long sleeves, you can't go wrong. Oh, and guess what? Snaps will even customize a product for you. How cool is that?

If you are pregnant I have some delicious news for you. You are not restricted to just registering at Babies "R" Us anymore. Or Target. Snaps Couture has a gift registry. Makes me wish I was pregnant. :)

Here are a few of my favorites.

I know it's April now and my March Madness Month of Giveways is over, but let the giveaways continue!!!!! :) One lucky reader will receive a fabulous onesie - OF YOUR CHOICE- from Snaps Couture. You can choose short sleeve or long sleeve and any spunky saying you want. The giveaway will run from Thursday April 3 through Wednesday April 9th. A winner will be chosen at random and will be posted here as well as emailed.

The Rules:

  • To enter please visit Snaps Couture and then come back and leave a comment telling me what you liked best.
  • You do not need a blog to enter but you will need to leave your email address when you post. All entries without contact information will not be included in the drawing.
  • To receive an extra entry in this giveaway, subscribe to this blog and then let me know that you did so I can enter you an additional time.
Good Luck Everyone!!!

I used to laugh at childhood friend of mine because her purse was always so unorganized. At any given time she would open it up and loose cash and receipts would just pop out. Many times we'd stand at the check out after a shopping spree and I'd witness this mess and think to myself, "here we go again". Now, years later, I'm am now the unorganized person with all the "stuff" floating around my purse with no place to call home.

Apparently my friend and I were not alone. Wendy Krepak, inventor and designer of the Card Cubby was just like us. She found herself in the very same predicament and decided enough was enough. She had to do something. And she did.

The Card Cubby is an alphabetized little case made out of the softest, wipeable material and it fits right inside your purse, briefcase or car console. In it you can store gift cards, super market savings cards, coupons and business cards to name a few.

One lucky winner will receive a Card Cubby in golden honey. This giveaway will run from Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21. A winner will chosen at random and will be posted here on Saturday, March 22. Don't forget to check back here to see if you've won.

But today that is not all they have to offer. Hanes has just recently launched their children's site: www.hanes.com/kids. The Ultimate Swaddler Blanket GIVEAWAY

It's here! March Madness is here! Let the Giveaways begin!

This week's giveway is a Stowers Swaddler blanket. With the birth of a new baby comes so many adorable must-haves. Every year it seems that the "must-haves" from the years before have come and gone. What was "in" and "trendy" last year is out this year. One thing has not changed though and that is that we still want to swaddle our babies when we bring them home to remind them of the comfort and sercurity they felt while in mommy's belly. Oh how I struggled to swaddle my girls and keep them all tucked it. Just when I thought I had it down, a little hand pops out.

Stowers Swaddler is a mom (and maternity nurse) invention. The blanket is 40 inches wide and designed to use the hospital method of swaddling infants. It's easy to learn and maintains a snug swaddle (helping baby remain on back), thus reducing SIDS risks. A pocket on the bottom for those tiny little feet and velcro on the back make this not just your ordinary receiving blanket. And as if this find was not fabulous enough they offer the blankets in various patterns and prints. Click HERE to read what some very satisfied customers had to say.

You didn't think I would dangle this wonderful product in front of you without offering it as a giveaway did you? One lucky reader will win a Stowers Swaddler Blanket. All you need to do to enter this giveaway is visit Stowers Swaddlers and then come back here and leave a comment telling me what other fabulous products of theirs that you really liked. You do not need to have a blog to enter but please make sure you leave some form of contact information for me so that I can contact you if you win. This giveaway will be open from Monday March 3 - Friday March 7. The winner will be announced on Saturday, March 8.

Don't forget to check back this entire month for some more fabulous giveaways!

Bon Bon Mom of the Year Contest

South 'n France is hosting a
Bon Bon Mom of the Year
Contest
Could your Mom be our Bon Bon Mom of the Year?
If there's one thing we've learned from our customers, it's that lots of mothers (particularly stay-at-home moms) get teased about "sitting around all day eating bon bons". Of course, we all know that motherhood really may very well be the most difficult (and rewarding) job on earth, and that's why we're introducting our First Annual Bon Bon Mom of the Year Contest.
Do you have an incredibly special Mom? Does she deserve an entire year of sitting around eating bon bons after working so hard to raise you? If so, we want to hear her story!
WHO IS ELIGIBLE:
This contest is open to everyone with a darling mother! No purchase necessary.
HERE’S HOW TO ENTER:
