Today's Modern Mama: Skip to my Lou

Oh my goodness. I simply can't get enough of the Valetines projects out there. My favorite blogs have been flooded with posts and I'm going bananas! The kids can get by with the raggy t-shirts and holey socks until next week when I can break away from this computer and do some laundry, right? I doubt that but let me just live in the moment right now and share with you who I have picked as Today's Modern Mama.

If you've been reading my blog for the last few weeks it should not come as a surprise to you that I've been blog hopping and finding some really neat blogs. I have to admit, I keep a list of my favorite crafty blogs on my business blog and I only visit there about 100x a day just to see what's new and then I hop on over. Well, this week I'm honoring Skip to my Lou as Today's Modern Mama.

Cindy, mother of 3, is the creative spark behind Skip to my Lou. Here's a blip from her "About" section: From hosting a shrimp boil, celebrating holidays, making homemade scratch art paper, sewing gifts and throwing parties to cooking delicious food, you will find it all here at Skip To My Lou. The site is full of free patterns, downloads and I hope plenty of inspiration.

Today's Modern Mama: KIDZ a connection for inspiration

KIDZ a connection for inspiration is our featured "Today's Modern Mama: A Tribute to a Fabulous Mom". While on my bloggy travels I came across this blog. I was immediately drawn to it's design, of course. Very calm and soothing, I thought. But, as I read through some posts and just spent some time there, my heart was touched. So, I added their button to my other blog so that I could visit often.

Inspired by Tara, mother of a beautiful special needs little girl Chloe, KIDZ is a place to go where special needs children and their stories can be celebrated. At least once a week a new story of love and inspiration is featured celebrating the life of a special needs child.

Our mission is to increase awareness and understanding about different health conditions and to help all people cope with challenges and enjoy life! Today's Modern Mama: Leelou Blogs

This week alone I have come across so many wonderful blogs that I have never seen before. I immediately began following, subscribing and blog listing them all so that I would remember to keep coming back. I have to admit, what has drawn me to so many of them is their blog design. So, I figured what better way to kick off our "Today's Modern Mama: A Tribute to a Fabulous Mom" than to feature a very unique and creative blog called Leelou Blogs.

You Want to Celebrate Me? But it's not my birthday...

A lot of times as moms we kind of lose our identity. We rarely put our needs first and we live for our families. Let's face it, we organize birthday parties, Superbowl parties, holidays, dinner parties, playdates, etc. We do these things because we love our families and want to make them happy. We definitely don't do it for the recognition (I hope) and that's good because a lot of times we don't get it. That's not to say that our families don't appreciate us but sometimes in the excitement of it all, we get lost in the shuffle.

Well, that's all going to change..........at least over here. Starting Friday, January 23rd, we will launch:
